Booking Conditions

Acknowledgement

The person creating the booking to act on behalf of any other travellers acknowledged within the booking terms and conditions.

 

Deposit and payment

If the booking is made more than 46 days prior to departure, a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days after the booking is notified to be confirmed. Full payment must be made within 45 days prior to departure otherwise the booking will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.

 

If the booking is made within 45 days prior to departure, full payment will be required immediately after booking is notified to be confirmed. However, we reserve the right to refund in full without any compensation if any of our tour component/programme becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

Amendment and Re-booking Fees:

Amendment and re-booking are only applicable for paid/confirmed products.

a)    When a request for amendment or re-booking is made after more than 46 calendar days, the first amendment/re-booking fee may be waived but subject to product cost difference (where applicable). For additional amendment/re-booking, the local service providers will charge A$100 per amendment plus the product cost difference at the time of amendment/re-booking (where applicable). 

b)    When a request for amendment or re-booking is made within 45 days before departure, the local service providers will charge A$100 per amendment plus cancellation fee, and the product cost difference at the time of amendment/re-booking (where applicable). 

 

Cancellation

Cancellation request must submit in writing by the person who made the original booking. Cancellation made more than 46 days prior to travel will incur 10% of total cost. Cancellation made within 45-31 days prior to travel will incur 25% of total cost. Cancellation made within 30-16 days prior to travel will incur up to 50% of total cost. Cancellation made within 15 days prior to travel or no-show will incur up to 100% of total cost. Additional fee may apply for high season travel. For cancellation fee of the international airfare (if applicable), please refer to your travel consultant for details.

 

Cancellation for Private Group

Private group reservation is subjected to minimum number of travellers as advised during the time of booking. Prevailing cancellation fees apply to cancellations that do not meet the minimum travellers requirement.

 

Bedding Configuration

Twin room – 2 single beds

Double room – 1 double bed

Triple room – 1 double bed and 1 single bed, or 3 single beds

Bedding request are all subject to availability at time of check-in

Room types are subject to allocate at time of check-in (Run of house), which may include room without window or mobility friendly room 

 

Tour Guide Service

The tour commentary is provided by the driver based on the best knowledge and experience. If you require a dedicated tour guide to provide you with a complete itinerary commentary service, please inform your agent at the time of booking. Additional fees apply

 

Documentation

A valid passport is required by all travellers for verification purpose at hotel or tour attraction front gate.

 

Minimum Age for Hotel Check-in

Hotel check-in requires the person checking in be over 18 years old with a valid ID and credit card.

Special requirement: Please advise your travel agent if you require vegetarian meal, dedicated tour guide (fees apply), and/or any needs to bring your own wheelchair

 

Luggage Allowance

For safety reason, each traveller is allowed one (1) large suitcase, and one (1) carry-on luggage.

 

Travel Insurance

Complimentary local travel insurance will only be offered for all guided tours in Taiwan. Therefore, we still strongly recommend that at the time of booking you purchase travel insurance to cover for unforeseen circumstances.

 

Changes in Prices and Itineraries

Before full payment is made and accepted, all listed Prices are subjected to changes in accordance with the foreign exchange rate at the time of payment. 

 

Disclaimer

Changes to any confirmed itinerary may happen as a result of situation beyond our control including (but not limited to) war, disturbances, fire, flood, severe weather, act of God, epidemic, pandemic, act of government, industrial action, or flight delayed or cancelled. Where there is a change to your itinerary, we reserve the rights to make necessary amendments to an equivalent product where practically possible. My Taiwan Escape and its associated companies and employees are not liable for any event beyond their control.
