Day 1  Arrive Taipei

Welcome to Taiwan. Upon arrival in Taipei, you will receive meet and greet service at the arrival hall followed by private transfer to your hotel. Note standard hotel check-in time is at 3pm.

Day 2  Taipei City Tour (B)

Taipei is a dynamic city known for its blend of modern skyscrapers, traditional temples, bustling night markets, and rich cultural heritage. The highlights of today are:

 

National Palace Museum (Admission included): It houses one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Chinese art and artifacts, spanning over 5,000 years of history.

 

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall: A striking white building with a blue-tiled roof, featuring exhibits on Taiwan’s former leader, Chiang Kai-shek. Opportunity to witness the changing of the guard ceremony.

 

Dadaocheng: A historic district renowned for its cultural significance and bustling tea trade. Featuring beautifully preserved architecture, traditional shops, and vibrant street markets, it offers a unique blend of history and modernity.

 

Taipei 101 Observation Deck (Admission included): Located in Taiwan’s tallest buildings, offering stunning panoramic views of Taipei and beyond.

 

Return to hotel in the late afternoon. The route order and time today may change according to the location of the hotel.

Day 3           Taipei – Jiufen – Shifen – Yilan (Breakfast)

Invite you to make your own pineapple cakes before heading to Jiufen and Shifen, the two must-visit towns in northeastern Taiwan. Travel time to Jiufen takes about 50 mins. The highlights of today are:

 

Pineapple Cake DIY (Activity included): Pineapple in Taiwanese means good luck and prosperity. This is the best experience of making traditional Taiwanese desserts.

 

Jiufen: A charming and historic village located in the mountains of northeastern Taiwan, famous for its narrow, winding streets, traditional teahouses, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

 

Shifen Waterfall: Taiwan’s “Little Niagara Falls.” The observation platform offers panoramic views of the majestic waterfall.

 

Shifen Sky Lantern (Activity included): Write down your wishes on the lantern and release it to the sky on the famous railway track.

Continue to Yilan in the late afternoon.

Day 4           Yilan – Hualien (Breakfast)

After breakfast, let’s embark on a trip that combines both Western and Eastern cultures today! The highlights of today are:

 

Kavalan Whisky Distillery: Yilan unique aging environment accelerates the whisky maturation process, allowing Kavalan whiskies to develop rich, complex flavour in a shorter period compared to distilleries in cooler climates like Scotland. Please inform your driver if you would like to arrange a whisky tasting.

 

National Centre of Traditional Arts (Admission included): The NCTA serves as both a museum and a living heritage site, where visitors can experience and learn about Taiwan’s diverse cultural traditions, including craftsmanship, performing arts, and folk customs.

 

Continue to Hualien in the afternoon.

Day 5           Hualien – The East Rift Valley – Chihpen (Breakfast)

The East Rift Valley nestled between the Central and Coastal Mountain ranges, is a lush, scenic region. Known for its vibrant farmlands, hot springs, and cultural richness, it offers stunning views of mountains, rice paddies, and rural landscapes. The highlights of today are:

 

Liyu Lake: It is a picturesque freshwater lake nestled between lush mountains. It’s a popular destination for boating, cycling, and walking along scenic trails.

 

Guangfu Sugar Factory: A historic sugar factory in Hualien, offering a nostalgic experience with traditional ice cream and local snacks in a charming, vintage setting.

 

Chishang Lunch Box: Famous for its premium rice fields, Chishang is a serene rural town, ideal for exploring Taiwan’s agricultural beauty and tasting local delicacies. A traditional lunch box included today.

 

Brown Avenue: A scenic road in Chishang, known for its breathtaking countryside views, stretching through vibrant rice fields, perfect for cycling and photography. Here we have the opportunity to hire a bicycle (Own Expense) to ride through the rice paddies of the Chishang Bicycle Trail.

 

Luye Highland: A popular spot in Taitung for paragliding and enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and tea plantations, especially during the summer hot air balloon festival.

 

Continue to Chihpen (Taitung) in the late afternoon. Chihpen (Taitung): A renowned hot spring area surrounded by lust forests, offering relaxation and natural beauty in a serene envoroment.

Day 6           Taitung – South Link Highway – Kaohsiung (Breakfast / Lunch)

This morning travel towards Kaohsiung will be via the science South Link Highway, which offers breathtaking coastal and mountain views, connecting Taitung and Pingtung, perfect for scenic drives. The highlights of today are:

 

Duoliang Station (Ticket included): The famous station due to the juxtaposition of railway, mountain and ocean.

 

The South-Link Highway: It offers stunning views of both the Pacific coast and lush mountain ranges. This scenic route is known for its dramatic landscapes, winding roads, and serves as a gateway to Taiwan’s southern beauty, perfect for road trips and nature enthusiasts.

 

Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum: It features the impressive Fo Guang Big Buddha and the Buddha Museum, which houses a sacred relic. Visitors can explore serene temples, learn about Buddhism, and experience rich cultural traditions.

 

Lotus Pond: A scenic lake famous for its vibrant temples and pagodas which include the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas and the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. Enjoy stunning views, explore local culture, and walk through the dragon’s mouth for good luck.

 

Formosa Boulevard Station: Famous for its “Dome of Light,” this station is a stunning example of modern art and architecture.

 

Shoushan: Enjoy the full panoramic view of Kaohsiung. A mountain in Kaohsiung offering hiking trails, wildlife, and panoramic city views, popular with nature lovers.

Day 7           Kaohsiung – Alishan – Chiayi (Breakfast)

After breakfast, we will head towards Alishan. Travel time from Kaohsiung to Alishan takes about 3 hours. The highlights of today are:

 

Alishan (Ticket included): A scenic mountain park famous for its towering cypress trees, cherry blossoms, and walking trails, offering visitors breathtaking nature and peaceful exploration.

 

Alishan Forest Railway (Ticket included): A historic narrow-gauge train winding through Alishan’s mountains and forests, offering passengers stunning natural scenery. This is a once in a life time experience for most Taiwanese people.

 

Kindly note that your driver-guide may not accompany you on the forest railway ride, as rest is required in preparation for the extended driving duties scheduled for the afternoon.

 

Continue to Chiayi the late afternoon.

Day 8           Chiayi – Sun Moon Lake – Taichung (Breakfast)

After breakfast, tour continue to Sun Moon Lake. Travel time to Sun Moon Lake takes about 1.5 hours. The highlights of today are:

 

Sun Moon Lake Sightseeing Cruise (Ticket included): A relaxing way to explore Sun Moon Lake is by enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and tranquil waters from the sightseeing cruise. Please note that your driver will meet you again at the designated drop-off location after the lake cruise.

 

Tea Tasting (If time permits): Visit the famous black tea museum, Hohocha, where you smell the fragrance of tea before even drinking your first cup.

 

Continue to Taichung in the late afternoon.

Day 9           Taichung – Lukang – Taoyuan Airport (Breakfast)

After breakfast, we toward to explore one of the oldest towns in Taiwan, Lukang. Travel time from Taichung to Lukang takes about 45 mins. The highlights of today are:

 

Rainbow Village: A vibrant village adorned with colourful murals and street art, created by a veteran to preserve the area’s history and culture.

 

Lukang: It is a historic town in Taiwan known for its well-preserved architecture, ancient temples, and traditional culture. It was once a major port and trading hub during the Qing Dynasty, now attracting visitors for its cultural heritage and vibrant festivals.

 

Lukang Rickshaw Ride (Ride included): Offer a unique way to explore the town’s narrow streets, historic sites, and temples. These traditional three-wheeled vehicles provide a nostalgic experience.

 

Continue to Taoyuan (TPE) Airport in the late afternoon. You will arrive at Taoyuan airport around 18:30pm. Please book your departure flight from Taipei for 21:00pm or later.

Payment A non-refundable deposit which advised by your travel consultant is required within 7 days after the reservation made (unless otherwise stated). Final payment must be received no less than 60 days before commencement of your trip (unless otherwise stated). Please note that we reserve the right to revise the payment schedule based on hotel payment requirements.
Amendments

By Us

The itinerary, accommodation, and/or tour inclusions may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to road conditions, adverse weather, or changes in transportation schedules. We reserve the right to amend or modify the itinerary when necessary, and no compensation shall be provided for such changes.

Any changes to the itinerary made within 61 days prior to departure will be subject to a processing fee of AU$100 per change. Please note that any fees for non-refundable items already paid will remain non-refundable.
Change of Your Group Size Prices per person are according to number of travellers of your own group. If a trip fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be cancelled. We will charge fees in accordance with the “Cancellation Policy” terms and shall not be held responsible for any related or consequential liabilities.
Hotel Check-in At least one guest aged 18 or above is required to present a valid ID and a credit card at hotel check-in.
Passports, Visas It is a requirement that you hold a valid passport with sufficient validity and any required visas for your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of the necessary documentation to comply within the laws and regulations of the country to be visited.
Travel Insurance It is strongly encouraged that you are adequately insured for the duration of your trip. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical requirements, luggage and additional expenses. We strongly suggest you purchase insurance at the time you pay for your deposit.
Cancellation Policy ·        Cancellations made more than 61 days before departure will incur a charge for the deposit and non-refundable items.

·        Cancellations made between 46-60 days before departure will incur a charge of 25% of the tour fee and non-refundable items.

·        Cancellations made between 31-45 days before departure will incur a charge of 50% of the tour fee and non-refundable items.

·        Cancellations made between 30-16 days before departure will incur a charge of 75% of the tour fee and non-refundable items.

·        Cancellations made within 15 days before departure or after departure will incur a charge of 100% of the tour fee.

 

Fees for non-refundable items already paid will remain non-refundable. We reserve the right to adjust the price and cancel the reservation without compensation if the payment is not received by the due date.

Responsibility We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary and routes due to natural disasters or other force majeure events, and shall not be held responsible for any related or consequential liabilities or losses
